Seems like more people are searching my site on what it takes to make a death knight in World of Warcraft. Well, I haven’t posted anything about WoW in quite a while mainly because I haven’t played it nor do I plan to start playing it anytime soon.
Why? Well, let me go back about 2 years now, 2006, I had just returned from my second tour in Iraq and just moved into our new house and had a lot of things going on, but of course I had to do something in my spare time and still having an appetite for some WoW I went ahead and started playing it again switched back to Horde from Alliance for a change of scenery and all that. Alright, well fast forward to winter of 2007 early 2008, I was having a lot of problems I would rather not bring up now because they are in the past and have nothing to do with the subject at hand, but let me just say that the game, WoW, had a stranglehold on me, not really the game, but what it represented and provided to me. It is a great game and if you let it envelope you it will do just that, the treadmill, carrot on a stick always leaving you wanting more. It is hard to describe if you haven’t been there, if you have ever had an addiction to something so strong that it has ruined your life in some aspect you might understand the power it has if you let it take over.
So, these days I enjoy my gaming in Warhammer Online, yeah, it isn’t quite as exciting, or overwhelming, but it is fun and it gives me something to do when I am bored.
Will I ever go buy Wrath of the Lich King? The thought is there, but I don’t know. I am at a point in my life where I have realized playing games isn’t as much fun as they used to be, blame it on growing old, or whatever, but that is where I am at now.
I have talked to the wife about getting a Nintendo Wii just so we have something to play together, she likes the idea, even after I showed her the video on youtube– Why every guy should get their girlfriend the Wii Fit
I love that video…lol, hey I am a man after all, nothing wrong with that…she said as long as I do it too, I told her that is fine, but we won’t be sharing that on youtube.

The Wii makes gaming a more casual affair & does a really good job for families, although saying that our Wii hardly gets touched now!
Gaming on both the 360 & PS3 is going through a very rosey period & I think something like Fable 2 may suit you Sean, more than getting sucked into a MMO again.
